Keeper's Cottages

The Lighthouse cottages were built to house the lighthouse keepers and their families. They were built from Oregon collected from local shipwrecks and are excellent examples of nineteenth century lighthouse residences. The larger of the two, the assistant lighthouse keepers cottage is divided into two and is available for guest accommodation.

Each cottage has three bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people. Linen can be provided but due to water and power supply we appreciate it if guests bring their own. A well appointed kitchen with all necessary appliances, dining room, bathroom, and a comfortable sitting room with wood stove are also part of the cottage. An outside gas barbeque and a generous front verandah with magnificent views across Point Hicks and Bass Straight completes the experience.

There are books and games provided and we consider it an advantage that our cottages do not have phones or television !!

You will need to bring all food and drink with you as the nearest shop is about an hour's drive away in Cann River.
